Is this site anti-Google?
Taken out of context, this site may seem anti-Google ... what with the swastikas and all. However, this site is nothing more than basic knowledge (and maybe some attitude) to give amateur designers having trouble with Google a little bit of self-confidence. We've come across amateurs who desperately need cheering up. Many of these folks—some of them fifteen year-old high school gals from Backwater, U.S.A.—spent considerable time and effort just creating simple websites ... under the assumption that these sites would be judged according to content and not according to the political skills of the sites' creators. We think they deserve their whiny WTF moment—we've all experienced this—but they are attacked by pro-Googlers looking for an easy victory not through logic but BRUTE FORCE—pro-Googlers know they can say something as retarded as "Google RULES because we love baby-sounding names" and fifty people will jump in to support the pro-Google cause.

When reading through this site, one should keep a few things in mind:

(1) Google is big, and I'm only 5'10." Whatever griping I do here will affect Google as much as griping about hot weather affects Mother Nature. Knowing this, I see no point in holding back my smart-ass comments—many people feel that sarcasm makes life more interesting (more bearable). Besides, if you don't have a sense of humor and if you can't laugh at yourself, you're probably a militant pro-Googler anyway—additional sarcasm won't hurt because my irrefutable logic will mean nothing to you.

(2) Any competent defense against verbal attacks such as "Google rules and you SUCK" will require a few points of fact that—taken out of context, seen from a shallow perspective—will seem anti-Google.

(3) My bulls***-detector has been involuntarily set on high since birth. You pro-Google fanatics who prey on the weak and the ignorant irritate me big-time because your particular bulls*** will likely hinder the growth of our society. It's not that you place acceptance above creativity—you don't even know what creativity is. (That, of course, and the fact that so few people can see through your bulls*** (publicly, anyway) and understand its cause. You don't care one way or the other about Google; you just know that when you "start something" you'll have a surplus of pro-Google Agents of Evil to back you up without questioning your motives or your reasoning. Because of this, I'm ten times more pro-Google than any of you, since any criticism I give will be honest, and since I sincerely hope Google improves.)

(4) In case it's not obvious by now, there are indeed two "Googles": Google The Search Engine and Google The Institution. (One can dislike organized religion and still love Jesus.) Google the Institution was created by people who can't stand things that are different, since these things reinforce the caustic truth that on some level these people know is true: they're boring. At this point I don't know that I have any beef with Google; everything I've seen wrong with "Google" comes from non-employees: the real Google has never told me it's supposed to replace all other search engines.

(5) I'm seriously tempted to be totally anti-Google, since that way someone might link to me. But no, instead I'll stand by truth and justice, thereby belonging to no camp, thereby being hated by all sides, as real truth and justice oftentimes is, since everyone under the sun has an agenda.
